Full-Time Faculty Position – Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Grant MacEwan University invites applications for one full-time faculty position in Statistics commencing July 1, 2010. This position will contribute to the growth and success of MacEwan’s four-year Bachelor of Science degree. The candidate must have a PhD (or solid indication of imminent completion) in Statistics, must demonstrate excellence or clear promise of excellence in teaching, and must demonstrate an active research program. Experience in statistical consultation would be an asset. Applicants should have strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Applicants should submit a covering letter with curriculum vitae, a teaching statement and student evaluations, graduate transcripts, a statement of research interests and evidence of current scholarly activity. Candidates should also arrange for three letters of reference to be sent under separate cover.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.

Salary Range: commensurate with education and experience
