Capital Health Atlantic Canada’s largest academic health care organization, Capital Health, is committed to developing an interdisciplinary Research Methods Unit and is recruiting the position of Director. Reporting to the Capital Health District Chief of Community Health & Epidemiology (scientifically) and to the Director, Research Services (administratively), the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in the design of clinical studies and other health research, using a variety of research methods; building a core team of senior consultants and analysts; consulting with, advising and allocating methodological support to Capital Health and other Maritime researchers; collaborating with Capital Health and other Maritime researchers to prepare and submit manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; preparing proposals on external research funding; mentoring junior investigators and scientific staff; and ensuring the quality and rigor of scientific work. This is a long assignment full-time position, 75 hours biweekly until July 1, 2015. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The qualified candidate will receive a faculty appointment at Dalhousie University. This position is funded by institutional funds and is not dependent on grant support.
