To Get to Québec City

By Air

Many flights are available from the international airports serving the cities of Québec and Montréal.

There is a daily shuttle service between Pierre-Elliott Trudeau airport and downtown Montréal. The shuttle makes a stop at the Montréal Train Station (Bonaventure metro station) and at the Montréal Central Bus Station (Berri-UQAM metro station).

By Train

VIA Rail Canada offers daily service between Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City. The first class service VIA 1 is also available.

Public transit

The most affordable way to travel in Québec City is to use the public bus network. The Metrobus (lines 800 and 801) offers a direct link from Sainte-Foy (Université Laval) to downtown Québec every 3 minutes during rush hour, and every 10 to 15 minutes during regular hours. For more information about the bus network routes, consult the RTC (Réseau de transport de la Capitale) web site (available in French only).

Parking on campus at Université Laval

A daily parking permit can be be purchased at one of the fifteen pay and display parking stations on campus at any time, at a cost of $14 per day. The pay and display parking stations accept cash payments and credit cards. Daily permit entitles parking anywhere except at parking meters.

A weekly permit can be purchased at the parking service office (room 1533, Ernest-Lemieux building). Free parking for a period of 15 minutes is available near the parking service office to allow people to purchase their permit. The cost of a weekly permit ranges from $70 for parking in category 1 lots to $37 for parking in category 3 lots. Cash payments and credit cards are accepted.
